CSX 1897         
Most of the U18Bs in the mid 1980s had their nose light eliminated, however on this unit the light between the number boards was eliminated. Odd?

David T Moore General CSX 1888 1899 (SCL 250 261) had 1200 gallon fuel tanks and were commonly referred to as light weight U18Bs. The others, CSX 1900 1990 (SCL 300 392), had 2150 gallon tanks. 1/25/2009 11:03:26 PM
