Description:
The sign on the nose was made out+of poster board. I asked the crew if I could put it on before they left Newberry. That paint scheme just looks better with a sign on the nose. I'm an SCL fan as you can see. This is train 733 Newberry to Baldwin to Newberry

Local train 735 from Newberry Fla comes off the Wannee Sub heading for Baldwin
Description:
By 1988 most of the signs on the SCL units had disappeared. I made this sign with a yellow piece of poster board and a black marker. I added the sign in Newberry and planned on retrieving the sign when they returned to Newberry. The power was swapped in Baldwin and I never saw my sign again.

Receiving some work at Waycross. The 1896 would emerge with a fresh coat of CSX YN2 paint. This was one of the few U18Bs wo be painted in two different CSX paint schemes.
